Today is the big day! It’s Howloween Hoopla time. The time has come for all our hard work pays off. Everything was set, all of the Halloween decorations were up in the Nutter Center and the Haunted Cave was ready to scare kids! All that needed to be done before the start of the event was the $5000 worth of candy we bought needed to be distributed amongst the athletic teams tables. All of the interns had to distribute the candy; we started around 3:00PM and didn’t get done until 5:30PM. The event was supposed to start at 6:00PM but by 5:30PM there was a line out the door and people managed to get the doors open.
As the event began is when the ciaos ended for me. Before the event began we had to do so much running around I felt as if I were doing a football workout. In the end the event ran pretty smooth except for people trying to cut the line and parents complaining the line is too long. This was to be expected for a free event for children.
